How to grow aster flowers to bloom more prosperously

How to grow aster flowers to bloom more prosperously

1. Temperature for growing aster

Asters mainly come from northeastern cities in my country and are rare in Yunnan and Sichuan in the south. They like mild sunshine and moist soil but are not resistant to floods and severe cold. It is best to sow them in spring and autumn when the temperature is around 14℃ to 16℃, and the temperature for seedling development should be controlled at 18-21℃. It is suitable for growing in an environment of 12-15℃. Special attention should be paid to taking warming measures for asters when the temperature is below 5℃.

2. Lighting for aster cultivation

Asters like mild sunlight and prefer to grow in a ventilated and bright environment. Chrysanthemums like to be exposed to sunlight for a long time every day. If they can be exposed to sunlight for more than fifteen hours a day, they can grow stronger, be more well-nourished, and bloom earlier.

3. Watering of aster cultivation

Aster likes moist soil. Pay close attention to the soil condition during the planting process. If you find it is dry and cracked, water it in time. Aster potted plants grown at home should be watered at different times according to the different climates and temperatures in spring, summer, autumn and winter. In spring and autumn, watering should be done before noon. In summer, watering should be done in the morning or after sunset. In winter, watering should be done when the temperature is highest every day, usually at noon or after lunch. When aster buds appear at the top of the aster stem, the amount and frequency of watering should be reduced than usual to avoid excessive water that may cause the buds to fall off.

4. Cultivation and maintenance of aster

When growing aster potted plants at home, it is best to choose short and strong single aster plants. The cultivation soil can be a loose, highly breathable mixed nutrient soil layer, which is composed of a uniform mixture of farmland soil, river field silt, and animal and plant bone powder. In daily care, chrysanthemums should be placed in a sunny and ventilated balcony or courtyard, and attention should be paid to moisture, light and temperature at all times. In order to make the chrysanthemums bloom more beautifully and the plants stronger, you can mix liquid or powdered organic compound fertilizer into the soil when loosening the soil before transplanting the seedlings; after transplanting and potting, add liquid or powdered organic compound fertilizer about once every half a month.
