How to grow the lucky flower to make it red

How to grow the lucky flower to make it red

1. Temperature

Temperature is one of the important factors affecting its flower color. The temperature it prefers is between 15℃ and 22℃, so we have to place it in an environment with this temperature so that it can show its red color. In addition, the temperatures are generally low in winter, so we need to keep the temperature above 10°C, otherwise it will get frostbite. Not only will its leaves turn yellow, but its red flowers will also be affected.

2. Light

Light is also an important factor in whether it can stay red. As long as the effect of light is ensured, it can grow red. In winter, what it needs is bright sunlight, so we should give it at least four to five hours of sunlight every day in winter. And if it is a rainy day, the light will increase. In summer, it is best to place it under a shady tree and set up a shade net according to the needs of indoor cultivation.

3. Soil

What it needs is loose soil, and only in such an environment can it grow completely red. When growing them at home, the soil can be mixed with soil and fine sand, and make sure it is rich in nutrients.

4. Fertilizer

Because it blooms in winter, we need to apply enough fertilizer to ensure its redness. Usually, we need to fertilize it once every two weeks. There are many choices for fertilizers, such as bean cake, sesame residue and other materials. You can also use water used to soak beans or rice, but it must be fermented before it can be used.

5. Watering

Because it likes a humid environment, if you want it to grow red, this must be guaranteed. Watering should be done before noon, preferably in the morning, but it must be done in a cup rather than just in the pot. In order to keep the leaves dry at night, it is necessary to wet the leaves or sprinkle water on the ground.

The quality of water also needs attention. You cannot use tap water directly for watering. If there is only tap water, you need to let it dry for a few days before use. It is also best to spray water on the leaves to remove dust and make the leaves bright in color, so as to better ensure its own photosynthesis and allow it to grow red.
