How to trim glass jade

When to prune glass jade

Pruning of glass jade is generally done during the seedling growth period, and it needs to be topped off, which can promote the growth of side branches and make the overall plant shape more beautiful. Pruning can also be done after the plant blooms.

The pruned branches of the glass jade should be cut and inserted directly into the prepared potting soil at a depth of about 2 cm. Then compact the soil, fix the branches, and place the flowerpot in a cool place for maintenance.

How to prune the branches of glass jade

If some weak branches of the glass jade grow very fast during the growth process, it is best to prune them off. Generally, the strong branches of the plant are retained. If the branches and leaves of the plant grow too densely, the smaller branches can be cut off.

If the glass jade grows too tall, all the high branches should be cut off to reduce unnecessary nutrient loss, promote better growth of the plant, and increase its aesthetics.

Glass Jade grows fast when pruned

If you want glass jade to grow fast, you don’t need to worry too much about pruning it. Just prune it normally and the plant will grow quickly.

Glass Jade Trimming Precautions

During the flowering period of Glass Jade, if flowers bloom on the lower part of it, it is best to pick them off in time and not let it continue to grow. This will allow the number of flowers on the upper part of the plant to gradually increase.
