What soil should be used for Mentiya yew

1. pH

It needs slightly acidic soil, and the pH of the flower soil should be above 5.5 and below 6.5. Alkaline soil is not good for it and will cause its leaves to turn yellow, so we must ensure that its flower soil is slightly acidic. In addition, we can add some acidic substances to the soil to lower its pH value.

2. Soft

Flower soil with a loose texture is more suitable for it, because this kind of flower soil has better air permeability and water permeability, which allows it to grow better.

It is best not to use clay and sandy soil to grow it, because although the former can retain water and fertilizer, its air permeability is not good, and although sandy soil is breathable, the other two aspects are not good and cannot meet the growth conditions it needs.

3. Organic matter

Because it prefers soil rich in organic matter, generally it will grow well when the content of this substance is above 3%, so we can use wood ash or perlite and some loam to mix it, so as to ensure its growth rate and normal growth.

4. Fertile soil

Because its growth requires nutrient support, the flower soil we use cannot be too poor. It is best to use some flower soil that contains more nutrients, so that it can grow better during the seedling stage and reduce the frequency of top dressing for it later. In addition, rich flower soil can allow it to absorb more nutrients for growth, thereby increasing its growth rate.
