How to grow longevity flowers

1. Repotting

Repotting actually plays a very important role in its growth, because once a plant is older it will show symptoms of nutritional deficiency, so we have to change the pot. Generally this operation is done in spring. The soil we use is garden soil, peat and sand. A mixture of these three is very good. In addition, we cannot make the potting soil too wet, otherwise it will affect subsequent growth.

2. Watering

Watering is a very important part. Generally, we water once or twice a week. In midsummer, we must control watering and pay attention to ventilation. If the temperature is relatively high, we must consider that too much water will cause leaves to fall off.

3. Fertilization

1. As for fertilizing, it is better to do it once every half a month. If you wait until autumn when it produces flowers and buds, you can consider adding phosphorus fertilizer and potassium fertilizer.

2. When it is growing vigorously, we should apply compound liquid fertilizer to it every two or three weeks. This will make it stronger and its flowers will bloom more abundantly.

3. Generally, flower buds will form in November. At this time, we can add potassium dihydrogen phosphate to it. The flowering period will be longer and the flowers will bloom better.

4. Lighting

Light also plays a relatively large role in its growth. Because this kind of plant requires short days, it is more sensitive to light. If we want to grow it well, we still have to give it eight or nine hours of sunlight a day. Generally, flower buds will appear in three or four weeks of treatment. During its growth period, we need to rotate the direction of the flowerpot, because this way it will receive light more evenly and the branches will be more symmetrical.

5. Pruning

After the flowers fade, we need to cut off the withered flowers so that their nutrients will not be wasted and there will be more flowers next time.
