How to slow down the growth of gardenia seedlings

How to slow down the growth of gardenia seedlings

1. What is slow seedling

Some friends may not understand this name. It carries the meaning of recovery. That is to say, after the plant is transplanted, the environment changes and it takes some time for it to adapt to the new environment. This process is called seedling slowing down.

2. Maintenance during the period

(1) Watering: After transplanting, the plants need to be watered thoroughly. After that, water must not be lacking. However, you can't just water as much as you want. If you are not sure, you can feel the condition of the soil to determine whether it is lacking water.

(2) Humidity: This refers to the air humidity in the environment. During the seedling acclimatization period, in order to ensure normal humidity, you can use a spray bottle to sprinkle more water on the leaves of the plant.

(3) Ventilation: Ventilation is very important, especially during the period just after transplanting. However, this does not mean that it can be left out in the wind. Proper ventilation is enough.

(4) Soil: This refers to improving the acidity of the soil. The most commonly used method is to use rice water. Collect some rice water, put it in a beverage bottle, and seal it. Afterwards, expose it to the sun. After about a week, it will be ready for fermentation. If you find it smelly, you can also add some orange peel into it. After dilution, you can water the plants.

(5) Light: After transplanting, the plants must not be exposed to direct sunlight and must be placed in a cool place. After a few days, you can move it to a place with diffuse light. Because it prefers shade, it must not be exposed to strong sunlight.
