What to do if pearl bush has root rot

What to do if pearl bush has root rot

Causes of root rot in pearl bush

Overwatering

Pearl bush can tolerate poverty and drought, so it must be carefully cared for and watered sufficiently when grown at home. If you ask how those flowers died, it was definitely because they were loved to death.

Pests and diseases

House-grown pearl bushes are much more delicate than those grown outdoors. An environment with high temperature and humidity makes it easier for bacteria to grow and for diseases and insect pests to occur.

Fertilizer deficiency or fertilizer damage

Pearl bush requires certain nutrients for normal growth. When the plant lacks phosphorus and nitrogen fertilizers, the roots grow poorly, leading to rot. In addition, if too much fertilizer is applied, the roots will grow in dire straits for a long time, restricting their breathing and causing root burn and rot. Therefore, no matter how much fertilizer is used, it will inhibit the growth of pearl bush, not more, not less, just right!

Treatment methods for root rot of pearl bush

Root Pruning

When the roots of pearl bush are rotten, you can repair the rotten roots and sprinkle it with carbendazim or thiophanate-methyl powder. After two hours, replace it with new soil and replant it.

Reduce watering

Water thoroughly two hours after planting, and wait for it to dry in a dark and ventilated place indoors. Once it is dry, place it in a sunny and ventilated position. It is not suitable to be exposed to the sun at this time. Wait until the soil in the pot is dry before watering. Do not water if it feels damp and dripping. Watering only after the soil is dry will prevent the roots from rotting.
