How to repot a jade plant

How to repot a jade plant

1. When should I replace the new basin?

1. There is nothing to be particular about this because it is quite strong. Just be careful not to damage its roots.

2. If you must be particular, it is best to do it in early spring. After changing it to a new pot, place it in a bright area for maintenance. It will recover after seven days.

3. This tree does not have high requirements for time, so you can replace its pot from spring to autumn. However, if it is larger, it is best to repot it in March or April every year.

2. Methods

1. First, find a pot that is larger than the original one, and then take it out of the original pot. Be careful to keep some of the soil at the bottom, which can prevent its roots from being easily damaged.

2. Then put a layer of soil under its new pot, then put it in together with the soil on the roots, and finally fill the surrounding area with soil.

3. Notes

1. If conditions permit at home, you can add some rotten leaves or livestock manure to the soil, so you don’t need to go to the market to buy nutrient-rich soil.

2. The soil in the pot should be at least one centimeter lower than the pot, so that the water will not overflow when you water it. If the temperature is around ten degrees at this time, you don't need to water it. Wait until the temperature rises before watering it, otherwise its roots will rot. Don't worry too much, it won't die even if you don't water it for a year.

3. Of course, it is best not to replace the pot with a new one in the cold winter, unless your home has sufficient heating and the climate in your home allows for occasional sunshine.
