How to grow Buddha's hand flower

How to grow Buddha's hand flower

1. Breeding environment

1. Soil: To grow Buddha's hand flowers, you need to use loose, well-drained acidic soil. Do not use heavy alkaline soil, which will be detrimental to its growth.

2. Watering: The soil should be kept moist, but water should not accumulate. When the temperature rises, the amount of water should be increased. In summer, you can spray water all around to increase the humidity of the growing environment. On the contrary, when the temperature is low, the amount of watering should be controlled. After it enters a dormant state, you can stop watering according to the growth conditions.

3. Fertilization: During the flowering and fruiting periods, fertilizer should be applied every 3-5 days. In order to make it bloom and reduce fruit drop, more phosphorus and potassium fertilizers can be applied.

2. Breeding Methods

Cutting propagation: Choose disease-free branches, about 12 cm in length, insert them 7-8 cm into the soil, compact them with soil and water them thoroughly, and roots will grow in about 30 days.

3. Common pests and diseases

1. Common diseases include sooty mold, which is caused by saprophytic fungi and can cause black mold on branches and leaves. After the disease occurs, you can use thiophanate-methyl or carbendazim to spray for prevention and control.

2. Common insect pests include aphids or scale insects, which will harm the tender leaves at the top. They can be sprayed with carbaryl or dimethoate to prevent and control them.
