How to care for potted myrtle

1. Temperature

The temperature of potted myrtle should not be too low, it likes a high temperature growing environment. The temperature is usually lower in winter, so you need to adjust the temperature appropriately. The minimum temperature should not be lower than 10℃, otherwise it will stop growing. If the temperature is too low, it may be frostbitten, so it should be kept indoors in winter. You can wrap it with film to keep it warm, but you should remove the film in time to allow for ventilation.

2. Lighting

When the light is not strong in spring, autumn and winter, it can receive sufficient light. In summer, you should move it to a semi-shaded place in time, or you can put it indoors for maintenance. If you grow it indoors, place it in a well-lit location. However, do not keep it indoors for a long time, move it outdoors for maintenance as appropriate.

3. Humidity

Myrtle likes a humid growing environment. If the air humidity in the growing environment is relatively low, the leaves will turn yellow or fall off. It is best to control the humidity of the growing environment at 70-80%. When the weather is dry in summer, you can spray water appropriately to increase the humidity.

4. Fertilization

Appropriate fertilization is required during normal maintenance, and appropriate fertilization can be applied during the peak growing season. Stop fertilizing during the dormant period, apply fertilizer frequently and in small amounts, and do not apply fertilizer at too high a concentration.
