How to cut the green radish in hydroponics

1. To grow green radish in water, you need to prepare a pair of sterilized scissors first, and cut a branch with good growth from the potted plant. The length can be controlled at about 10 cm.

2. The branches should have 4-5 leaves, preferably with aerial roots, so that they can adapt to the hydroponic environment more quickly. Aerial roots are small brown protrusions on the stem of branches. It is best to keep one leaf and one bud in each section.

3. Cut off the leaves at the bottom of the cuttings to prevent them from rotting due to being soaked in water, which will affect their normal rooting.

2. Maintenance methods

1. Change the water: When you first start hydroponics, you need to change the water every 2-3 days. If the water becomes turbid, it will affect the germination of new roots. In addition, the temperature of the water should be close to the air temperature, which is very beneficial for its rooting.

2. Pruning: The hydroponic method will make the plant grow very fast. If its roots appear to be rotten or too long, they must be pruned in time. Proper pruning of rotten roots can allow the main branches to better absorb nutrients.

3. Add nutrient solution: Apply nutrient solution to it during maintenance, usually once every 10 days. Only with sufficient nutrients can it grow faster.
