How to prune jasmine after flowering

How to prune jasmine after flowering

1. Prune the remaining flowers

Its pruning is usually done after the flowers have withered, and the remaining flowers are removed in time after the flowers have withered. You can also properly trim the branches that are too long. Such pruning can not only keep the jasmine plant in a beautiful shape, but also promote the growth of new flower branches and increase the number of new flower branches, so that it can bloom more luxuriantly during the next flowering period.

2. Remove diseased branches

When pruning flower branches, be sure to cut off diseased branches, as well as some weak branches and old branches. Cutting off these branches will ensure adequate supply of nutrients for the jasmine and promote its better growth and development.

3. Maintenance after pruning

After pruning, remember to give it an appropriate amount of sunlight and ensure good ventilation conditions. Exposing it to more sunlight will encourage it to grow more luxuriantly and make its branches thicker.

IV. Precautions

When pruning, do not be reluctant to prune old branches, as this will instead cause the branches to become weak and the leaves to be underdeveloped. When pruning, also pay attention to the flatness of the cross-section to ensure that it will not affect the growth of new buds.
