How to prune lucky bamboo

1. Trimming leaves

If the tips of lucky bamboo leaves become dry and the edges become burnt, use scissors to trim off the dry parts in time. If all the leaves appear to be dead, all the leaves should be trimmed away. When pruning leaves, you need to pay attention that the base of the leaves is in a state of bursting stems, so all the petioles at the base of the leaves must be cleaned up.

2. Pruning the root system

The roots of lucky bamboo grown in water will rot or necrotize. At this time, you should take it out of the cultivation container, trim the rotten roots with clean scissors, clean it with clean water, and then put it in water again for cultivation.

3. Pruning branches

After a period of maintenance, the leaves at the bottom of the lucky bamboo fall off, and the leaves above sprout and continue to grow. Due to environmental changes, the upper branches may appear thinner and weaker. In this case, you can keep the two or three leaves at the bottom and cut off all the thin branches and new branches at the top to promote the growth of new branches. Such a root can produce two or three branches, forming a relatively dense crown.
