How to plant longan seeds in pots

1. Soak the kernels

Clean the white soft tissue on the top of the longan and soak it in clean water for about 4 to 6 days. When the core cracks slightly, you can plant it, or soak it for 2 to 3 days after cracking, which will be more conducive to the growth of new shoots. In addition, please note that the water needs to be changed once a day during the soaking period.

2. Prepare the soil

Choose a hole-free flowerpot of a suitable size that you like, fill it about 80% full with soil and spray it with water to make the surface of the soil slightly moist.

3. Sowing

After the shell cracks, you can plant it directly on the soil surface. When planting, place the bud end facing upwards and place them close to each other.

4. Post-maintenance

After planting, fill the small gaps with soil and cover with gravel. Then press gently with your palms and spray water appropriately until the soil and the core are completely moist. It will germinate in about 8 to 10 days. In addition, please note that you need to spray water once a day during this period.
