How to propagate Pothos

How to propagate Pothos

1. Choose the time

Cuttings of Pothos can be carried out in any season as long as the temperature is suitable. If you want it to take root as soon as possible after cuttings, the temperature must be kept at around 15 degrees. If the temperature is too low, it will be in a dormant period, and if it is too high, it will burn the branches. Both situations are very unfavorable for its rooting.

2. Prepare Materials

Before cutting, you need to prepare a relatively suitable sized flowerpot filled with sandy soil, and a pair of sharp scissors. If the scissors used at home may be too blunt and cause damage to the branches, you should prepare a pair of gardening scissors.

3. Insert into the soil

After preparation, you can start cuttings. Use scissors to cut healthy and disease-free branches from the main branches. It is best to make the cut at an angle and retain the aerial roots. After cutting, remove the leaves at the bottom and insert them into the potting soil.

4. Maintenance after insertion

Newly grafted green radish is strictly prohibited from being exposed to strong light. The soil in the pot must always be kept moist. It will take about 20 days for it to take root, and then normal maintenance and management can be carried out.
