How to grow jade tree

1. Lighting

When caring for jade plants at home, you should place them in an environment with plenty of sunlight. If you provide them with a semi-shaded or shady environment, the shape of the entire column will be disrupted and they will grow too tall.

2. Temperature

The ideal temperature for jade plant growth is between 12 and 28 degrees. If you want to safely overwinter, the temperature should be around 10 degrees. If it is below 5 degrees, it will be affected to a certain extent, and frost damage will occur below 0 degrees.

3. Soil

Jade plant has relatively loose requirements on soil, as long as it is ordinary fertile, well-drained sandy loam. In addition, the pH value should be neutral or slightly alkaline.

4. Watering

During normal maintenance, jade plant prefers dry conditions and there should be no water accumulation in the soil. You can master the skill of watering when the soil is dry and wet. When the soil is completely dry, just water it thoroughly. There is no need to water too frequently. A slightly drier soil is actually beneficial to growth.

5. Fertilization

The growth requirements of jade plant for fertilizer are not particularly high. Generally speaking, applying thin fertilizer once or twice a month during the growing season is enough to meet its requirements, so that it can grow well.
