Notes on Camellia Repotting

Notes on Camellia Repotting

1. Notes

1. When repotting, it is best to keep a little soil on the root part of the plant, which will make it easier to plant and the survival rate will be higher, but the old soil must be removed.

2. The interval between repotting should not be too short. Do not repot continuously in a short period of time. Cuttings should be repotted every 3 to 4 years, and grafted plants should be repotted every 2 years at the beginning, and every 3 to 4 years in the later stage.

3. When repotting, it is best to keep the temperature between 10 and 20 degrees. This temperature is more suitable. It can be chosen in spring and summer. Temperatures that are too high or too low are not suitable.

2. Steps of repotting

1. Choose a larger flower pot to facilitate the growth of the plants in the later stage.

2. Stop watering the plant two weeks before repotting, so that it will be easier to remove from the pot later.

3. Slowly take the plant out of the original pot. The movement must not be too large. Remove the old soil around it, and then use scissors to cut off the old and dead roots. Do not trim too much, which is not conducive to the later growth of the seedlings.

4. Put some broken tiles and stones in the new flowerpot to filter water, cover it with soil, plant the plant upright, and fill the surrounding area with soil.
