The cultivation methods and precautions of Yalezhiwu

1. Soil

The potting soil should be loose, fertile, and have good drainage and air permeability.

2. Lighting

It needs shade when the temperature is high in summer, and full sunlight for 6-8 hours in other seasons. In summer, ventilation should be improved to avoid root rot caused by poor air circulation.

3. Temperature

In winter, you need to water less to keep the soil in the pot dry, and control the temperature above 5℃ to survive the winter.

4. Watering

When watering, pay attention to the principle of not watering when the soil in the flowerpot is not dry. Water should be poured thoroughly to prevent water accumulation in the soil. The flowerpot should also not be exposed to rain for a long time to avoid root rot.

5. Fertilization

It likes fertilizer very much, and diluted liquid fertilizer should be introduced every 10 days or so during the growing season. Thin cake fertilizer water can be used before and after flowering.

6. Notes

It is usually propagated by grafting or cuttings. Cuttings are usually taken during the growing season of the plant. When taking cuttings, you can choose the branches and buds pruned during shaping. There is no clear requirement for the length, but there must be at least 3 to 4 pairs of leaves. Before cutting the roots, cut off the lower leaves and let them air dry for 1 to 2 days. After the cut is dry, insert it into the nutrient soil of the flowerpot. Place it in a place with gentle scattered light, keep the soil in the pot slightly moist, and it will take root in 2 to 3 weeks.
