What kind of pot is best for growing azalea

Azalea has a fibrous root system and its roots grow relatively shallowly. Azalea is best planted in a ceramic pot, preferably a ceramic pot with edges and corners. The flower pot and the azalea will have an elegant and generous feeling. There are no special flower pots for azalea.

Ceramic and purple clay pots are suitable for azaleas, because these pots are breathable and water-permeable. Azaleas look good in ceramic pots, and they look best in beige ceramic pots.

1. Deep basin or shallow basin

Azalea is not suitable for deep pots. It is better to plant it in shallow pots, preferably pots with a depth of 15 cm, because the roots of azalea are relatively shallow, and deep pots will be detrimental to its growth.

2. Big basin or small basin

Azalea is suitable for a larger pot, and a pot with a diameter of 25 cm is the most appropriate, because azalea grows faster and a larger pot has more space, so a large ceramic pot should be used.

3. High or low basin

Azalea is suitable for maintenance in low pots, but not in tall pots, because its root system is shallow and the tall pots are relatively deep, so it is not easy for water to drain out. It is better to use coarse sand to pad the bottom of the pot.

Repotting azalea

It is best to repot azalea in mid-November. When repotting, choose a ceramic pot because it has strong drainage function. Use leaf mold because it is acidic and fertile soil. When repotting, be sure to trim its dead roots.
