Orange growth environment conditions and requirements

Oranges are native to southern my country. They are a subtropical fruit that prefers a warm, humid, well-lit growing environment. They have relatively high requirements for temperature, sunlight, and water and are a sun-loving plant.

Orange growth temperature

Orange is a subtropical fruit. The most suitable growth temperature is 12-37℃. There should also be a large temperature difference between day and night during the flower bud differentiation period. The plant has poor cold resistance and will be frostbitten in an environment of -6℃.

Orange growth humidity

Oranges like a humid environment. The relative moisture content of the soil should be between 60% and 80%, the air humidity should be above 75%, and the annual rainfall in the planting area should be around 1,000 mm.

Orange growing soil

Oranges do not have high requirements for soil and can grow well in purple soil, red and yellow soil, and sandy beaches. However, loose, well-structured soil is best, and the pH value should be between 5.5-6.5.

Orange growth cycle and process

The growth of oranges goes through several stages, including seedling stage, growing stage, flowering stage, fruit falling stage and maturity stage. Spring shoots grow in February-April, the first flower and fruit fall in April, and the fruits mature and are available on the market in July-August.
