It likes well-drained, loose, fertile and moist soil.

1. Soil

Jade potted plants prefer fertile, breathable, well-drained soil. The soil can be a mixture of leaf mold and river sand in a ratio of 7:3, or a mixture of peat soil and perlite.

2. Watering

When growing jadeite in a potted plant, the soil in the pot should be kept not too moist. However, during the peak growing season, water it frequently. Watering also depends on the weather. In rainy seasons, water less and pay attention to drainage.

3. Fertilization

Do not apply too much fertilizer to jade potted plants. Spring and autumn are the seasons of vigorous growth. Apply decomposed cake fertilizer, liquid fertilizer or nitrogen and phosphorus fertilizer once every ten days. No fertilizer is needed during the high temperature period in summer and the dormant period in winter.

4. Temperature

The growth temperature of jade potted plants is generally best controlled at around 25℃. In winter, the plants should be moved indoors for cultivation and the temperature should be controlled between 10℃ and 15℃. It should not be lower than 10℃, otherwise it will stop growing.

5. Lighting

Jade potted plants require good light. They can be placed in a scattered light location in spring and autumn, in a shady place in summer, and in a warm place where the sun can shine in winter.

To keep the Jade potted plant alive, you need to choose soil that is rich in humus, loose and well-drained, with base fertilizer, and place it indoors in a place with bright scattered light. The temperature of the environment must be controlled well. The suitable temperature for growth is 25℃, and it cannot be lower than 0℃, otherwise it will freeze to death. Sufficient water should be given during the best growth period, and the soil should be replaced every 2-3 years.

The frequency of watering the Jadeite potted plant at home depends on the season. In the summer, evaporation is fast, so water it once in the morning and evening. You should also spray water on the leaves frequently to cool it down and keep the leaves moist and clean. In the winter, when the temperature is low, it enters a leisure period and you need to control watering and water it when the soil is dry and wet.
