Environmental conditions and characteristics of clover growth

Environmental conditions and requirements for clover growth

Clover is widely distributed in temperate to tropical regions. The plant is not very demanding in terms of soil and climate. It is often found in moist areas such as grasslands, river banks, and roadsides. It prefers a moist and warm growing environment and has relatively good drought resistance.

Clover growth temperature

The most suitable growth temperature for clover is 19-24℃. The plant is very cold-resistant. Even when the temperature is around 0℃, only the old leaves of the plant will turn yellow, and the new leaves will still be green. However, the plant is still afraid of freezing.

Clover Growth Humidity

Clover likes a humid growing environment, and the air humidity should not be lower than 60%. Water it once every 2-4 days, and be careful not to let water accumulate in the soil.

Clover growing soil

Clover likes loose, fine and flat soil. When planting, use well-drained silt loam. When maintaining in potted plants, you can use garden soil, yellow sand and organic fertilizer to prepare it.

Clover growth cycle and process

Clover is usually sown in April in spring and can grow all year round. It takes two weeks from planting to germination. Its growth goes through several stages including germination, flowering, and fruiting. The average lifespan is about 7-8 years.
