How to grow a money tree

The money-making plant likes a warm, humid and sunny environment. It is afraid of waterlogging and strong light, is slightly cold-resistant but not drought-resistant. It is planted in all parts of the north and south. It is suitable for planting in a neutral culture soil that is rich in humus, loose, fertile and well-drained. The soil should not be acidic.

The money tree cannot tolerate direct sunlight and needs to be grown under a shade shed in the summer. It should be placed in a sunny place indoors in late autumn and winter to receive sufficient light. When the temperature is below 10 degrees in late autumn, it should be moved indoors in time and the room temperature should be maintained at 6-12 degrees. Too low temperature will cause frost damage, and too high temperature will affect the dormancy of the plant.

Watering method

The money tree needs to be watered in time during its growth period. Within one month after planting the money tree seedlings, water it once every 3-4 days depending on the weather conditions. Fertilization method

After the money tree is planted, tung bran freshwater fertilizer can be applied once every 10 days. Pruning methods

1-2 years after the money tree is planted, it should be pruned at a height of 30-35 cm before spring budding, depending on the specific situation. 4-5 branches with good growth should be used as main branches, and the rest should be removed. In late May, when the branches grow to 10-15 cm, the second pruning should be carried out.

Money tree cultivation precautions

The money tree can be planted in a loose, well-drained and breathable soil. Be sure to pay attention to the temperature and light of the surrounding environment. After the money tree enters the growth period, its branches and leaves are lush and it needs a large amount of fertilizer. Apply thin fertilizer frequently, water regularly and spray water on the leaves to keep the air moist.
