When is the best season to plant peach trees?

Common peach varieties include: juicy peaches, hairy peaches, yellow peaches, nectarines, etc. Peach trees can be planted in spring and autumn, before the land thaws in spring and after the leaves fall and before the soil freezes in autumn. Juicy peaches are planted from mid-to-late October to mid-to-late February of the following year, hairy peaches are planted in March in spring, and nectarines are mostly planted in autumn.

Peach harvest season

It takes 3-4 months for peaches to mature from flowering to fruiting. The season for peach harvesting and marketing is mostly around June in summer. Late-maturing varieties are mature and marketed in September, while early-maturing early spring varieties are mature and marketed in March.

Peach tree planting steps and methods

1. Select saplings and land: Select healthy, disease-free, high-yield and adaptable saplings, and choose a planting site with plenty of sunlight, deep soil, loose and fertile soil and good drainage;

2. Land preparation: For mountain planting, land preparation is done by block reclamation. The scale of the soil holes is 80 cm in length, 80 cm in width, and 70 cm in depth, with an interval of 3*5 meters.

3. Sowing: Use three main open heart shape, each sapling needs to be spaced 3*5 meters apart, and 45 peach saplings are planted per mu. For Y-shaped planting, the spacing needs to be 2*4 meters, and 84 peach saplings are planted per mu.
