Common orange trees include tribute orange trees, ugly orange trees, and sugar orange trees. Orange trees can be planted in spring and autumn, usually in early spring from February to March, or in autumn from September to November, and orange trees are suitable for planting in the north.

Orange tree harvest season

The flowering period of orange trees is from April to May every year, and they are generally ripe and harvested from October to December. Baba oranges are ripe from December to January of the following year, and spring oranges such as Wo oranges and Ugly oranges are ripe and available in February and March.

Orange tree planting steps and methods

1. Land preparation: Choose suitable land, sprinkle quicklime into the soil, and deep plow the land to a depth of about 30-35 cm, and add basal fertilizer to the soil.

2. Seedling selection: Select high-quality orange seedlings with 8-12 roots, 60-100 mm in root thickness, and 0.2-1 m in seedling height.

3. Planting: The planting spacing should be kept between 250-350 cm. Pour sufficient water into the soil pit 1-3 days before planting, then plant one sapling per pit and irrigate with appropriate amount of water after planting.
