Shiitake mushroom growth environment and conditions

my country's shiitake mushrooms are mainly distributed in Anhui, Jiangsu, Shanghai, Zhejiang, Jiangxi, Hunan, Fujian, Taiwan, Guangdong, Guangxi, Yunnan, Guizhou, Sichuan and other places. Artificial cultivation is almost everywhere in the country. It is also cultivated in Japan, Papua New Guinea, Nepal, Africa, New Zealand, and Patagonia in South America.

Shiitake mushroom growing conditions

Shiitake mushrooms prefer places with obvious biological diversity. The maintenance environment should be dark and humid, without strong light. They are suitable for planting in places with fertile soil and rich fungi.

Mushroom growth temperature

Shiitake mushrooms prefer a humid growing environment. The suitable growth temperature is between 22-26 degrees. The temperature range for mycelium growth is 5-24 degrees. Because wood has a certain protective effect, mushrooms and wood can survive well in high-altitude mountains at minus 20 degrees or in low-altitude areas above 40 degrees, and the mycelium will not die.

The growth process of shiitake mushrooms

The primordium of shiitake mushrooms will differentiate in an environment of 8-12 degrees, the optimal temperature is 10-12 degrees, and the fruiting body is suitable for growth and development at 5-24 degrees. For the same variety, within the suitable range, if the temperature is low, the fruiting body will develop slowly, the stipe will be short, the flesh will be thick, and the quality will be good. If the temperature is above 20 degrees, the fruiting body will develop quickly, the stipe will be slender, the flesh will be thin, and the quality will be poor. If the temperature is suitable, shiitake mushrooms will not form fruiting bodies.

Shiitake mushroom planting time and method

Shiitake mushrooms are suitable for cultivation in autumn from September to October. The cultivation of shiitake mushrooms must first prepare the strains, then select and proportion the culture, bag the culture medium after fermentation, then make holes for inoculation, then go through the fungus management and color change management stages, and finally carry out bud induction operations. The fruiting period must be scientifically managed, and finally the shiitake mushrooms are harvested.
