Coriander Planting Technology

Coriander Planting Technology

1. Planting

1. Open field cultivation: It can be cultivated directly in spring, autumn and winter. Do not water too much during the seedling stage. Wait until the growth peak when the seedlings are about 10 cm apart before watering frequently to keep the soil surface moist. In the hot summer, the sunlight is strong, so appropriate shade should be provided to prevent heavy rain and drain water in time to ensure uniform emergence of seedlings.

2. Dapeng cultivation: irrigate with frozen water once before winter to help the seedlings survive the winter. When the seedlings turn green, loosen the soil and weed. During the growing season, the temperature should be maintained at 15-25℃. Note that no ventilation is required in January and February.

2. Improve the germination rate

1. Sorting: Place the coriander seeds on a flat surface, and rub them slowly and vigorously with a flat object. Do not crush them, and rub them until they crack into small pieces.

2. Soaking: Soak the coriander seeds in warm water at 30-45℃ for 2-3 days before sowing. After being soaked and fully washed, the coriander seeds will germinate in about 12-13 days, which is about 7 days earlier than the common method.

3. Fertilization

1. Seedling stage: Generally, watering and fertilizing are not required during the seedling stage. Fertilizing too early will not have any effect and may cause root rot.

2. Growing period: During the growing period, you can choose to water and apply special fertilizers for vegetables. Stop fertilizing 20 days before harvest, and the harvest can usually be completed about 50 days after sowing.

Pay attention to the prevention and control of diseases and pests, and add potassium fertilizer and organic fertilizer to improve disease resistance. Water more during the high temperatures in summer, and also pay attention to waterlogging caused by heavy rainfall in summer.
