The growing environment and local conditions of boxwood

Boxwood Growth Environment and Conditions

When boxwood is growing, it needs a well-ventilated environment, which is more conducive to maintenance. It also needs proper shade when the temperature is relatively high. It is not very resistant to high temperatures and must be avoided from sunburn. Its origin is in Shaanxi, Gansu, Hubei, Sichuan, Guizhou and other places in China.

Boxwood Growing Conditions

Boxwood is common in valleys, stream banks, under forests, etc. When growing, it usually uses loose loam, but it can also use warm acidic or slightly alkaline soil and has strong adaptability.

Boxwood growth temperature

When boxwood is growing, the temperature needs to be kept at around 15 degrees, which is more suitable for growth and allows its branches to sprout. In spring and summer, its growth speed is relatively fast.

The growth process of boxwood

When boxwood grows, it usually grows through seed germination. The seeds will grow radicle, plumule, and hypocotyl in the soil, emerge from the soil, and then grow into seedlings. The outer leaves will continuously absorb sunlight, synthesize nutrients and transport them to various parts of the plant, allowing it to grow stronger.

Boxwood planting time and method

When planting boxwood, it is generally chosen between April and June. It is usually planted by cutting propagation. During cutting, the soil needs to be kept moist, which is more conducive to growth, and appropriate shade is needed when the temperature is relatively high.
