Green radish planting methods and precautions

When to plant green radish

Pothos can be propagated by cuttings all year round. The best time is spring and summer, from April to August. At this time, the temperature is relatively high, the sunshine is stable, and the air is relatively humid. It can grow steadily in summer and has a certain degree of cold resistance by the time of winter.

How to plant green radish

The cutting method is often used for the green radish. Select a well-growing green radish vine, cut off branches with a length of 15-30 cm, remove the lower leaves, keep the upper two leaves, and be careful not to damage the aerial roots. Then insert it into plain sand or coal slag, water it once, maintain it in a semi-shaded place, cover it with plastic film to keep it moist, and provide a temperature above 20 degrees. The survival rate is above 90%. The specific method of cutting planting is as follows:

1. Selection and processing of cuttings: Select semi-lignified branches with good growth and no diseases from the green radish vines, with a length of 10-13 cm. Cut the lower incision into an oblique cut, retain 2-3 leaves on the upper part, and cut off the lower part to reduce water evaporation.

2. Cutting medium: Chlorophytum likes to be planted in loose, breathable, well-drained sandy soil with high humus content. It is best to plant it in vermiculite, so that the rooting speed is fast and the survival rate is high. The soil needs to be disinfected before cutting.

3. Cutting method: Apply rooting powder on the lower end of the branch, and then insert it into the prepared soil, halfway into the soil, water it thoroughly so that the branch is in close contact with the soil, and then cover it with plastic film. It will basically take root after about 20 days.

Precautions for the maintenance and management of green radish

The green ivy has a certain degree of shade tolerance, but cannot tolerate direct sunlight. It only needs to be provided with diffuse light for maintenance. The indoor temperature in winter needs to be above 10 degrees. In addition, the plant enters a dormant period in winter. At this time, watering should be controlled and fertilization should be stopped. The soil can be kept moist at other times.
