How often should I water the smooth sailing?

Depending on the season, water it once every 5 days or so in spring and autumn, and keep the soil slightly moist. Water it once every 3 days or so in summer, and sprinkle water on the ground around the plant. In winter, when the temperature is low, water it once every 10 days or so. It likes acidic soil, so any slightly acidic and harmless water can be used for watering.

Smooth sailing watering method

Observe the branches and leaves : when the plant is short of water, the leaves will become soft. When it is seriously short of water, it will lose water and fall over. Each time you water it, you must water it thoroughly and avoid watering halfway.

Smooth sailing watering precautions

1. Avoid water shortage : The Lucky Bud likes water very much, and the soil in the pot should be kept moist during the growing season. If the flowerpot is small and the plant is large, you can put a water tray directly under the flowerpot to avoid water shortage.

2. No water accumulation : When planting Smooth Sailing, the soil in the pot needs to be kept moist for a long time, but it cannot accumulate water. Therefore, the drainage and air permeability of the soil in the pot must be good. If you accidentally water too much, you can remove the plant from the pot, blow it dry, and then put it back in the pot. If the soil is compacted, replace it with new soil in time.

What to do if you water too much

1. If the leaves of the crop turn yellow or black due to excessive watering, you should change the pot as soon as possible and check whether the root system of the plant is still healthy.

2. If the roots have all rotted and died, it will be difficult to save the plant.

3. If part of the root system is still intact, you can remove the moldy roots and transplant the plant into new fertile and moist soil. After watering it thoroughly once, place the pot in a cool and ventilated environment. Stop fertilizing and watering to see if the plant can recover.
