How long is the growth cycle of kenaf?

Introduction to Kenaf Growth

Kenaf is suitable for growing in sandy loam with deep soil layer. Kenaf is mainly distributed in Asia. The main producing countries are China, India, Thailand, Vietnam, etc. In addition, it is also grown in Cuba, Brazil, Russia, Cambodia, Central Africa, Congo and other countries.

Kenaf Growth Cycle

Hemp is more afraid of waterlogging in the seedling stage, but its resistance to waterlogging will become stronger when it matures. The growth cycle of hemp is not very long, about 6 months.

Kenaf growth rate

The growth process of kenaf mainly includes the emergence stage, seedling stage, vigorous growth stage, bud and flowering early stage, flowering stage and seed maturity stage. The growth rate of kenaf is relatively fast. After flowering and completing the pollination process, the ovary of the plant will swell rapidly. After about 30-50 days, the fruit will mature and the seeds will turn black.

Kenaf Growth Cycle Management

The yield of kenaf varies in different regions. The yield of low-yield fields is about 300-350 kilograms, the yield of high-yield fields is about 500-600 kilograms, and the yield in Taoyuan Township, Yongsheng County, Yunnan can reach more than 1,000 kilograms.

Temperature Management

The suitable temperature for kenaf growth is about 25℃, so during normal maintenance, you need to pay attention to controlling the temperature at around 25℃, which is conducive to the normal growth of the plant.

Fertilization management

During the seedling stage of kenaf, it is necessary to apply some compound fertilizers containing nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium appropriately, which can promote the growth of the root system and make the seedlings grow early. After entering the vigorous growth period, more nitrogen fertilizer needs to be applied. At other times, attention should be paid to controlling nitrogen, stabilizing phosphorus and supplementing potassium.
