Sauerkraut is one of China's famous specialties. It is mostly made by pickling cabbage, green vegetables, white radish, etc. It belongs to the Cruciferae family and Brassica genus. The cooking method was developed by the Chinese people. The main producing areas are Northeast China and Germany.

What does sauerkraut look like?

Sauerkraut is actually made from cabbage, green vegetables and Chinese cabbage sprouts. After being pickled and fermented, it turns yellow in color, has an oily and shiny surface, tastes good, and is rich in nutritional value.

How to make sauerkraut

1. Pickled Cabbage and Pork

Cook the pork belly and skim off the blood foam. After the meat has cooled, cut it into thin slices. Heat the pan with cold oil and sauté chopped green onion and minced ginger. Then add sauerkraut and pork belly slices and stir-fry together. Then add appropriate amount of water and simmer.

2. Sauerkraut meat pie

Chop the pork belly into minced meat, add the prepared sauerkraut, stir well, add pepper powder to remove the fishy smell and enhance the flavor, mix well and make into meat patties.
