Introduction to Planting Beauty Finger Grapes

Beauty Finger grapes prefer a warm and cool environment and can overwinter in the open fields in the Jiangnan region of China. They have strong germination ability, vigorous growth, and a long lifespan of about 150 years. It usually takes 7 years of planting to produce good quality fruits. After the 40th year, they will enter a senescent period and the yield will slowly decrease.

The beauty refers to the results of several years of grape planting

Beauty Finger grapes can bear fruit after 2-3 years of planting. They usually bloom in May and June, and bear fruit after 90-100 days, that is, in August and September.

Beauty points out why grapes don't bear fruit

The reason why Beauty Finger grapes do not bear fruit may be due to natural disasters, such as frost damage during or before flowering. In addition, malnutrition makes it difficult for flower buds to differentiate, causing the pistil to degenerate and resulting in no fruit.

Key points of growing Meirenzhi grapes

1. Choose a planting site: Beauty Finger grapes are highly adaptable and like light and warmth. When choosing a planting site, we mainly choose neutral sandy soil. It is best to plant it in loose, fertile, well-drained soil, either flat or sloping.

2. Tillage of the land: Beauty Finger grapes are usually cultivated on small trellises. I till the soil in advance, dig planting trenches, separate the topsoil and subsoil, apply enough base fertilizer, then fill in the topsoil and water to make it firm.

3. Fertilizer and water management: When planting the Beauty Finger grape, apply sufficient base fertilizer. When the seedlings grow to 20 cm, apply nitrogen fertilizer once, and then apply urea once every 15 days, for 4 consecutive times. In August, apply potassium dihydrogen phosphate 3 times. In winter, apply high-quality organic fertilizer and water to prevent cold.

4. Disease control: Beauty Finger grapes rarely have diseases and pests. Do not spray pesticides in the first year after planting. You can use pesticides in the second year. However, in rainy years and regions, disease and pest control should be strengthened. Under high temperature and high humidity conditions, white rot and black pox are prone to occur. You should spray Cobo, Bordeaux mixture, carbendazim, thiram, metalaxyl and other pesticides in time and use them alternately.
