Lover's Tears is a fleshy herb that likes shade. In summer and autumn, it must be placed in a semi-shaded environment to avoid direct sunlight and long-term exposure, which will easily cause the flowers to wither.

However, if the light in the place where the Tears of Lovers is placed is too weak, the leaves will slowly turn yellow and eventually die. However, it can be exposed to the sun appropriately in winter.

Lover's Tears has a strong shade tolerance and generally cannot be exposed to the sun, nor can it be deprived of light for a long time. Generally, it is enough to give it 4 to 6 hours of light a day, so that Lover's Tears will not die from dehydration due to long-term exposure to the sun.

In the summer when the temperature is too high and the light intensity is high, you can place it in a bright place indoors. If there is insufficient light where it is placed, the leaves will lack vitality and may even dry up and die.

Growth habits of Lover's Tears

Tears of Lover likes to grow in places where the soil is loose and high in organic matter. Although it needs to keep the soil moist during its growth, it is very easy to have its roots rot.

Therefore, the land needs to have strong drainage and watering is not too frequent. It also needs sufficient light, but it cannot be grown in places with too strong light. Direct sunlight will cause it to dry out and even die.

It is cold-resistant and can survive even in an environment of 0℃. It is also heat-resistant, but its growth rate will slow down when the temperature is above 30℃. Therefore, the most suitable temperature for its growth is between 20℃ and 28℃.
