When to plant lilies

1. Planting time

You can choose spring or autumn to plant lilies, and the best time is August to September. The temperature at this time is more suitable, and the survival rate will be higher than in other seasons. However, the climate in different regions is also different. It is best to advance or delay the time appropriately according to the temperature.

If you miss the best planting time, it is recommended to wait until next year to plant. If you do it at an inappropriate time, not only will the survival rate be low, but even if the plants survive, they will not grow very strong.

2. Planting Method

Prepare a flower pot and fill it with 2/3 of soil. The planting soil used should be acidic and have good drainage. The soil must be disinfected before planting, otherwise the bacteria in the soil will attack the bulbs. The bulbs need to be disinfected. They can be soaked in carbendazim and potassium permanganate for half an hour, then washed with clean water and dried. Finally, plant the bulbs in the flowerpot, cover the bulbs with soil to a depth of about half, and water them appropriately to keep them moist.
