Suitable time for planting garlic

Garlic is planted in autumn, usually around September every year, because the climate and temperature in autumn are more suitable, and it is relatively easy to survive after planting. In addition, the planting time varies in different regions. For example, in cold climate areas, most of the planting is done in spring.

Garlic planting methods and key points

1. When planting garlic, you can choose garlic cloves that are larger and whiter in color. It is best if each garlic clove weighs about 5 grams to avoid a lower germination rate. Then, we place the selected garlic cloves in an environment with a temperature of about 15-20 degrees for germination, and dry them in the sun for 1-2 days before sowing.

2. When planting garlic, you need to dig a small hole in the soil, put the white garlic cloves into the hole, cover them with a thin layer of soil, and water them once to keep the soil moist and promote vigorous growth of garlic. It needs sufficient water during the growth process and can be watered once every week.

Key points for daily management of garlic

The growing temperature of garlic is between 18 and 26 degrees, and it has a strong cold resistance and can withstand temperatures as low as minus five degrees in winter. Therefore, if it is planted in an area below this limit, it needs to be protected from the cold.
