How many times a year are potatoes planted in Henan?

Henan potatoes can be planted twice a year, in March in spring and mid-August in summer. Henan potatoes have high yields, are rich in nutrients, and have strong adaptability to the environment. They have been spread all over the world, but in my country their main planting areas are in tropical and subtropical regions.

Potato planting conditions in Henan

1. Temperature

Henan potatoes like cool weather and are low-temperature crops. They need to grow in a loose, breathable, cool and moist soil environment. The growth temperature of Henan potato tubers is 16℃~18℃. When the temperature is higher than 25℃, the tubers will stop growing. The growth temperature of stems and leaves is 15℃~25℃. If it exceeds 39℃, it will stop growing. Control the growth temperature of potatoes.

2. Lighting

Note that during the high temperatures in summer, Henan potatoes need to be shielded from strong light to prevent the plants from rotting in a hot and stuffy environment. Henan potatoes have a high demand for water, so they need to be watered every 2-3 days to keep the soil moist so that Henan potatoes can grow better.

Henan potato harvest time

Usually it takes 2-3 months from planting to harvesting potatoes in Henan. Potatoes are planted in March and can be harvested in May-June, but early harvest may occur due to variety, market, climate and other factors.
