The propagation method and cultivation precautions of green radish

The propagation method and cultivation precautions of green radish

Reproduction method

1. Layering propagation

This is the best method for propagating green radish. Press the strong stems of the green radish into the soil (do not damage the leaves). After the aerial roots grow out, cut off the new and old branches and divide the plant directly.

2. Cutting propagation

This is the simplest method of propagating green radish. Select the thick stems and leaves of the green radish, cut them with a knife, then insert them into the soil and spray water every day.

3. Water propagation

This is a more commonly used method of propagation for green radish. Select thick stems and leaves that are slightly longer, and insert them directly into the water. Change the water every 3 days and add water appropriately. It will survive in 10 to 15 days.

Precautions

Ventilate frequently

Pothos prefers a shady and humid environment, but people often ignore the fact that the growing environment of Pothos also needs ventilation. Without ventilation, the growth of green radish will slow down and its leaves will turn yellow easily. Especially when the surrounding environment is relatively large, more attention should be paid to ventilation.

Water moderately

Chlorophytum likes water, so water it frequently. The water of the green radish grown in water needs to be changed frequently, once every 3-5 days. For green radish grown in soil, water the stems frequently to promote rooting and growth.

Reduce light

Pothos likes shade, but full shade is not good either. You can plan to move the Pothos to a bright place regularly.

Controlling temperature

Pothos grows fastest at 20 ℃. Its growth will be restricted if the temperature is below 10 ℃ or above 30 ℃. However, there are exceptions in winter. Green radish is easily frozen in winter, but there is no need to worry. The leaves that turn yellow due to freezing in winter will grow new leaves in the spring.

Ensure humidity

The green radish needs to be watered regularly to ensure humidity. When growing green radish in soil, spray the area around the leaves frequently. When growing green radish in water, change the water frequently to ensure the water is clean and active.

Reasonable fertilizer

The green radish is not very sensitive to fertilizer, and generally nitrogen fertilizer is sufficient once every half a month. Sprinkle a thin layer on the surface to promote the growth of green radish.

Timely pruning

You cannot let the green radish grow alone. When the leaves are too long and thin, you need to trim them appropriately to improve their ornamental value.
