How to propagate Pansy and how to take cuttings

How to propagate Pansy and how to take cuttings

1. How to breed

1. Time selection: Pansy is mainly propagated by sowing, which is usually done in spring and autumn. It can grow well as long as the temperature is maintained at 15-20 degrees Celsius. If the temperature is not suitable, it will easily lead to poor growth of plants. The geographical environment in the north and south is different, so the sowing time is different. Most sowing is done in spring in the north and in autumn in the south.

2. Purchase seeds: You can buy seeds directly for pansy and plant them. You can go to a specialized seed store to buy them. Don't buy seeds that are too cheap to avoid buying expired seeds. After buying the seeds, open them and select them, removing the seeds of poor quality.

3. Choose soil: The soil can be peat soil, or a mixture of garden soil and sand. The soil can be prepared according to your needs. Water appropriately to maintain good humidity, such soil is more conducive to rooting.

4. Sowing seeds: Prepare the soil, poke a few small holes in the soil, then put the seeds in, cover the seeds with a layer of fine soil, water the soil appropriately, and maintain good humidity.

5. Planting in pots: After the seeds germinate, the seedlings will grow out one after another. When the growth is stable, they can be planted in pots.

2. How to take cuttings

Pansies are generally not propagated by cuttings, and the survival rate is difficult to guarantee.
