What is the appropriate row spacing and plant spacing for peanut planting? How many plants should be planted per acre?

Peanut planting spacing

Peanuts are a crop grown in both the north and south. The planting spacing varies depending on the variety of peanuts and the planting method:

1. Different peanut varieties

Generally speaking, the sowing density of pearl bean type peanuts is 20,000-25,000 grains per mu, and the sowing density of ordinary type peanuts is 12,000-15,000 grains per mu.

2. Different planting methods

The double-grain strip cultivation mode in the south has a plant spacing of 15-30 cm and a row spacing of 25-35 cm, while the single-grain strip cultivation mode in the south has a plant spacing of 7.5-15 cm and a row spacing of 7.5-15 cm;

The plant spacing of the double-row, double-grain ridge cultivation mode in the north is 15-18 cm, the large row spacing is 40-45 cm, and the small row spacing is 25-30 cm. The plant spacing of the single-row, double-grain ridge cultivation mode in the north is 13-15 cm, and the row spacing is 35-45 cm. The plant spacing of the double-grain, double-row, mulch-covered cultivation mode in the north is 13-17 cm, and the row spacing is 40 cm.

Peanut yield per mu

The yield of peanuts per mu is generally around 300-400 jin, and the highest can reach about 500-600 jin. If you want to increase the yield, you need to adopt large ridge planting, choose a place with good ventilation and light transmittance, and plant it at a reasonable density. Then, when the peanuts need to supplement their nutrition, they can be provided with the nutrients they need. These conditions are very helpful in increasing the yield of peanuts.

Peanut harvest time

The peanut harvest time cannot be too early, but certainly not too late. Generally, peanuts mature from August to October each year. According to the season, they can be divided into spring peanuts and summer peanuts, and their harvest time is also different. Spring peanuts mature between mid-to-late August and early September, while summer peanuts mature between late September and early October.
