Fig tree transplanting time and method Transplanting season and precautions

Fig trees are usually transplanted after their leaves fall in autumn, because the sap in the plant will flow back after the leaves fall, and transplanting at this time will cause the least damage to it.

Fig tree transplanting time

Fig plants are generally transplanted in spring and autumn. They are easiest to adapt to the pot after transplanting in autumn. The best time is around November. Although the plants can be transplanted in autumn, it is not recommended in early autumn. It is best to choose late autumn.

Fig tree transplanting technology

1. Before transplanting figs, you need to first dig the plants out of their original location, making sure to keep the soil. Then dig a hole of similar size and plant them directly in the soil. Then compact the soil with your feet and finally water them thoroughly.

2. After the figs are transplanted, they need proper shade. First, place the plants in a cool place and let them grow for about 3-5 days. Then build a shade net on them and remove it after a week.

Fig tree transplant management

1. After transplanting the figs, you need to gradually increase the light intensity and pay attention to more ventilation to prevent the occurrence of diseases and pests.

2. Figs have relatively little demand for water and fertilizer right after they are transplanted, but after they have grown into seedlings, especially during the fruiting period, they have higher requirements for nutrients and need to be properly fertilized because the nutrients in the soil are relatively limited.
