Jade leaf cutting time

Jade leaf cuttings can be carried out all year round , but the climate is mild in spring and autumn, and the temperature is suitable. At this time, the Jade leaf cuttings take root quickly and have a high survival rate. In summer, the temperature around the plant needs to be lowered, and in winter, cuttings need to be carried out in a warm place indoors.

Steps for cutting Jade Leaf

1. Cuttings

When cutting Jade Leaf, you need to choose mature and healthy branches . When cutting branches, the length should be controlled at about 10cm, and you need to keep a few leaves to increase the survival rate of the plant. After cutting, the branches need to be dried in the sun for 1-2 days.

2. Take cuttings

After processing the cuttings, the surrounding temperature needs to be controlled at around 20-25℃ , which is conducive to plant rooting and accelerates the growth rate. Then insert the plant into the soil with good drainage . After completion, it is necessary to water it in time to keep the soil in a slightly moist state .

Maintenance of Jade Plant after Cutting

After cutting, Jade Leaf should not be exposed to direct sunlight , but should be placed in a cool and ventilated place for maintenance. And it cannot be watered immediately after cutting. It is necessary to wait until the soil turns white, spray some water on the surface of the soil, keep it slightly moist, and never flood it with water.

After the cuttings are completed, they will generally take root in about half a month, and then they need to be transplanted . Fertile and well-drained humus soil should be prepared. After transplanting, light should be supplemented in time and watering should be carried out appropriately.
