What fertilizer is needed to grow Chinese cabbage?Chinese cabbage is a leafy vegetable that we often eat and belongs to the cruciferous vegetable family. From planting to harvesting, cabbage mainly grows stems and leaves, which is a period of vegetative growth. Therefore, sufficient nitrogen fertilizer needs to be supplied, and additional phosphorus and potassium fertilizers need to be added in the later stages of growth. Taking the Chinese cabbage yield of 4000-5000 kg per mu as an example, the fertilization plan is as follows: Before planting, apply 1500-2000 kg of decomposed organic fertilizer, 11-15 kg of urea, 50-80 kg of superphosphate, 20-30 kg of potassium sulfate or 30-50 kg of compound fertilizer with equivalent content per mu as base fertilizer. Half a month after transplanting, the cabbage enters the rosette stage and the first topdressing is carried out, that is, 5-8 kg of urea or 10 kg of water-soluble fertilizer containing humic acid per mu to promote rapid growth of stems and leaves. In the early stage of cabbage heading, the second topdressing is carried out, that is, 11-15 kg of urea is applied per mu. The third top dressing should be carried out in the middle period of heading, with 5-8 kg per mu of 20-20-20 balanced macro-element water-soluble fertilizer. According to actual conditions, spraying sugar alcohol calcium solution on the leaves in the middle stage of heading can significantly reduce the incidence of dry heartburn caused by calcium deficiency in Chinese cabbage . In order to grow Chinese cabbage well, in addition to the above-mentioned fertilization management, there are a few points to pay attention to: 1. Choose cabbage varieties suitable for the local area For example, in our area, we like to plant the variety "Tianjin Green", which is high-yielding, disease-resistant, and has a good taste. The right variety is the basis for growing good cabbage. 2. Do a good job in the prevention and control of diseases and insect pests There are many varieties of diseases and pests that commonly occur on Chinese cabbage. If they are not prevented and controlled in time, they will have a great impact on the varieties of cabbage. The main insect pests are cabbage loopers, diamondback moths, aphids and flea beetles. The medication regimen for controlling cabbage loopers and other green insects is the same as that for Plutella xylostella. You can use ingredients such as emamectin benzoate, indoxacarb benzoate, emamectin benzoate, chlorfenapyr, etc. for control. Pay attention to rotating the medication to avoid resistance. Aphids can be controlled with common products such as dimethoate, acetamiprid, matrine, and thiamethoxam. Flea beetles can be controlled by using a combination of high-content acetamiprid and cypermethrin. Common diseases include downy mildew and soft rot. The occurrence of these two diseases is caused by excessive humidity. They are more likely to occur after rain, so be sure to use medication in time. Downy mildew can be controlled by using 72% cymoxanil mancozeb, 40% oxazolidinone, 20% cyazofamid, 35% cymoxanil hydrochloride and other products. Soft rot can be effectively controlled by using cypermethrin, copper preparations or 32% oxadiazine and ethyl allicin. |
