Cultivation methods and precautions of Chinese dragon orchid

The Chinese Dragon Orchid is a famous orchid. This plant is not very easy to grow. This plant likes shade and moisture. The soil for cultivation must be loose and breathable, but it cannot be watered too much, as it is more troublesome to maintain.

How to grow Chinese dragon orchid

1. Fertilization

Chinese dragon orchids need to add appropriate base fertilizer before planting. During the growth period, thin liquid fertilizer should be used regularly, about once every 10-15 days.

2. Watering

Chinese dragon orchids need to be watered moderately during maintenance, and the principle of watering when dry and wetting should be adhered to. Avoid excessive dryness, but do not water too much, otherwise it will cause root rot and leaf withering.

3. Temperature

The most suitable growth temperature for Chinese Dragon Orchid is about 20℃. The plant likes a warm growing environment and needs to be kept indoors in winter. The temperature cannot be lower than 10℃.

4. Lighting

Chinese dragon orchid is afraid of direct sunlight. During maintenance, it should be given appropriate diffuse light to keep the leaves bright. Otherwise, insufficient light will cause the stems to grow too long.

5. Soil

Chinese dragon orchid can be prepared with peat soil, sandy soil, etc. It is recommended to put some broken rubble at the bottom of the pot to enhance the soil's water permeability.

Precautions for the maintenance of Chinese dragon orchid

During the maintenance period, the Chinese dragon orchid needs to be pruned regularly, and the withered, aged, and rotten branches and leaves of the plant should be cut off in time. This can reduce unnecessary nutrient consumption and reduce the spread of viruses.
