Cultivation methods and precautions of Anthurium

Cultivation methods and precautions of Anthurium

Anthurium is very easy to grow and take care of. It needs to be planted in a relatively breathable potted flowerpot. It is more suitable for maintenance indoors or in halls. It is suitable for growing in a moist, warm, semi-shady environment. It has a strong growth ability and branching ability.

How to grow Anthurium

1. Lighting

Anthurium is a shade-tolerant plant and does not require too strong light during its growth process. In summer, it needs to avoid direct sunlight. It can usually be grown in a scattered light environment.

2. Temperature

Anthurium is suitable for growing in a warm environment. The most suitable temperature range is between 24-28 degrees. In summer, the temperature cannot exceed 30 degrees, and the plant needs to be properly shaded and protected; the temperature in winter cannot be lower than 15 degrees. If the temperature is too low, it will affect the growth of Anthurium.

3. Watering

Anthurium has a high demand for water. Normally, you can water it once every 1-2 days to ensure the moisture of the soil. The evaporation in summer is relatively large, so it needs to be watered once in the morning and evening every day. The temperature in winter is relatively low, so it only needs to be watered once every 3 days.

4. Soil

Anthurium has high requirements for soil. The soil needs to have sufficient nutrients and a certain degree of looseness. You can prepare leaf mold, base fertilizer, coarse sand, and calcium carbonate, and mix them in a certain proportion to prepare the culture soil. In addition, fertilizers need to be applied in time during the growth period.

Anthurium maintenance precautions

When caring for Anthurium, you need to pay attention to repotting. Because Anthurium grows relatively fast, it is best to repot it every 1-2 years. The time for repotting can be chosen in spring. Just be careful not to damage the roots of Anthurium when repotting.
