Cultivation methods and precautions of boxwood bonsai

The boxwood bonsai plant is very easy to grow. As long as you master the growth habits of the plant and provide it with a suitable growth environment, you can ensure that the plant is rich, green, lush and sturdy.

Cultivation method of boxwood bonsai

1. Environment

The plant boxwood likes a warm, humid and well-lit growing environment. It is also drought-resistant and shade-tolerant. The soil must be loose, fertile and well-drained.

2. Watering

When caring for the boxwood bonsai, adhere to the principle of watering when the soil is dry and watering when the soil is wet. When the temperature is relatively high, reaching above 20°C, the plant also needs to be sprayed frequently to keep it moist.

3. Fertilization

Generally, natural fertilizer is used as the main fertilizer for boxwood. Human and animal feces can also be used, but they must be decomposed before use. Adhere to the principle of "thin fertilizers and frequent applications" and never apply too much fertilizer.

4. Picking

The growth rate of the boxwood bonsai is relatively slow, so it needs to be pinched in time to control the height of the plant and maintain its ornamental value.

5. Repotting

The boxwood needs to be repotted regularly, about once every 2-3 years. At the same time, excessive rotten roots should be cut off and replaced with new loose soil, which is conducive to the development of the root system.

Precautions for the maintenance of boxwood bonsai

The plant boxwood is very afraid of strong light. During maintenance, it is best to place it in a diffuse light environment and avoid exposing it to strong light. The best time to expose it to the sun is every morning.
