How to grow the Dancing with Grace succulent

The Dancing Plant was originally distributed in South Africa. It is a variant of the genus Portulacaceae and the family Purslane. Because of its beautiful flowers, cute appearance and high ornamental value, it is often grown as a potted plant at home. It grows relatively fast and can bloom in one year if properly cultivated.

Dancing with the Wind Succulent Plant Cultivation

1. Light: Dancing with Graces likes light. Except for providing it with proper shade at noon in summer, it should be placed outdoors to receive light at other times. If the potted plants are kept in a shaded environment for a long time and there is insufficient light, it will affect the photosynthesis of the plants, which will be detrimental to their flowering and reduce their ornamental value.

2. Water: Dancing with Grace is relatively drought-resistant. The principle of watering is to water when the soil is dry, and not water if it is not dry. When watering, water thoroughly to avoid water accumulation in the pot soil. In winter, the temperature drops and the plant gradually stops growing. At this time, stop watering and keep the soil dry.

3. Fertilization: If you want the Dancing with the Wind succulent to grow vigorously and bloom faster, you need to provide sufficient fertilizer, especially during the spring and autumn growing seasons. Apply liquid fertilizer or compound fertilizer about twice a month. Be careful to control the application of nitrogen fertilizer to avoid excessive growth.

4. Soil: The Dancing Plant should be grown in loose, fertile soil with good air permeability and drainage. If you prepare the soil yourself, you can use a mixture of leaf mold, vermiculite, perlite, river sand, and garden soil. You can also add some wood ash or bone meal to the soil before planting to increase the fertility of the soil.

Notes on the maintenance of Yalezhiwu

In order to prevent the soil of Dancing with Grace from becoming compacted and malnourished, the potted plants should be repotted regularly. The frequency and time of repotting is every spring. At this time, you can replace the potting soil, add some base fertilizer to the soil, and also cut off the excess overgrown or rotten roots to allow the plant to grow better.
