Cultivation methods and precautions of flame orchid

Cultivation methods and precautions of flame orchid

Flame orchid is relatively easy to grow. Because its growth environment is quite harsh, when caring for it, as long as you maintain sufficient light and water, the flame orchid will grow better.

How to grow flame orchid

1. Soil

Flame orchid has certain requirements for the cultivation medium. When cultivating it, you should use loose, breathable and well-drained soil. It is best to use fern roots, charcoal, bark blocks, coconut shells and other materials, which are most conducive to the growth of flame orchid.

2. Temperature

Flame orchid likes high temperatures, and its most suitable growth temperature is between 18-35℃. It is not cold-resistant, so in winter, it needs to be moved to a warm place indoors for maintenance so that it can safely overwinter. Otherwise, if the temperature is too low, the flame orchid will suffer frost damage.

3. Lighting

Flame orchid is relatively light-loving, so when you grow it on a daily basis, you need to place it in a sunny environment so that it can grow vigorously. However, flame orchid is not resistant to exposure to the sun, so in summer, you need to take shade measures to prevent it from being burned by strong light.

Flame Orchid Care Precautions

When caring for the flame orchid, you should pay attention to the fact that it is prone to white rot in the summer under high temperature and high humidity conditions. At this time, you should spray an appropriate amount of medicine to treat it. In addition, in the spring, you should trim the top and yellow and dry leaves to make it grow vigorously.
