The advantages and disadvantages of Luoyi Rose

The name of Luoyi rose is taken from the poem written by Cao Zhi, "How fluttering the silk dress is, its hems sway in the wind." When the Luoyi flower is in full bloom, the center of its flower is basically light pink, while its outer petals are generally light pink-purple.

The color of this flower is light pink when it first blooms, and the center of the flower gradually becomes darker in the later stage of blooming. Its overall flower is a combination of a round cup shape and a curled foot flower shape. The wavy edges of the petals are very obvious when the flower is in full bloom.

Advantages of Luoyi Rose

The fragrance of the rose is quite complex. Generally speaking, it is a mixture of myrrh, lemon, damask, etc. The smell is very strong and can be smelled as soon as you get close to it. It is very suitable for people who like the fragrance of flowers.

Its flowering period is also relatively long . A single flower can basically last for more than a week, and the overall flowering period will not be less than this time.

It has good re-flowering ability . Generally, its branches have the ability to produce flower buds and can bloom repeatedly in multiple seasons.

The color of this rose variety is very romantic, and the color changes slightly in different seasons, generally white-pink, pink, and pink-purple. Moreover, the whole plant has basically no thorns, which is relatively easy to care for, with a strong fragrance, and the flowers have wavy edges, which are super beautiful when half-open and half-closed.

Disadvantages of Luoyi Rose

If the seedlings of the Luoyi rose are not big enough, they will not be able to bloom in multiple heads. Also, it cannot tolerate rain and will become ugly if exposed to rain.

Moreover, if the buds are exposed to a lot of rain during the bud stage, the buds will often become rotten and unable to open. In addition, the buds have a poor ability to resist black spots. Once exposed to rain for too long, they will get black spot disease, and even the leaves will fall off, seriously affecting their growth.

Therefore, if you like roses, plant them in areas with little rainfall, or keep them in potted plants where they will not be frequently exposed to rain.

Key points for Luoyi maintenance

When cultivating the Luoyi rose, it must be planted in an area with little rain, preferably in a place where it will not be exposed to rain. Then, before the rainy season arrives, it must be sprayed with fungicides frequently to control black spot disease.
