Cultivation methods and precautions of osmanthus potted plants

The Osmanthus fragrans potted plant is a very fragrant flower. It is not very difficult to grow. The plant has strong adaptability to the environment, especially when it is not in the flowering period, it requires almost no care.

Cultivation method of osmanthus fragrans potted plants

1. Soil

The soil requirements for the sweet olive potted plant are not very strict, but loose, fertile sandy soil is still the best. During the cultivation period, peat soil, leaf mold, sandy soil, etc. need to be prepared.

2. Sunlight

Osmanthus fragrans is a sun-loving flower. The plant prefers an environment with plenty of sunlight, but is also afraid of strong sunlight, otherwise the number of flowers may decrease and the flowers may not be fragrant.

3. Watering

Osmanthus fragrans is relatively drought-resistant. When watering, you can wait until the soil is completely dry before watering. The plant prefers a humid environment, but water should not be allowed to accumulate in the pot.

4. Fertilization

During the growing period of Osmanthus fragrans, it is necessary to apply appropriate fertilizer. It must be applied thinly and frequently, mainly nitrogen and potassium fertilizers, and it is sufficient to use it about once a month.

5. Temperature

Osmanthus fragrans prefers a warm growing environment. The plant is not cold-resistant. The most suitable growth temperature is 20-30℃, and the winter temperature cannot be lower than 5℃.

Precautions for the maintenance of osmanthus bonsai

Although Osmanthus fragrans is a moisture-loving plant, it is not very resistant to rain. On rainy days, Osmanthus fragrans needs to be placed indoors. If water accumulates, it will easily cause the leaves of the plant to curl up and lose their luster.
